Last time: Arry wanted to stay in Halflingsville to wait out the week of the portent.

The body of Narius was destroyed

(while still inside the bag of holding) by various means provided by Ash, Fender, and Sylvie - the remaining ashes spread afar by Moog. Ulfgar was aware of the plan, Arry oblivious.

With a few extra days to kill, Ash went to Ephesus and sold the armor and sword to Borger the Fence disguised as Narius.

Meanwhile, Fender made the final round of the pie eating contest and barely lost to Clover Blackdale in a tie-breaker. Arry donated money to the halflings and set up a 12 person council to manage the trust. Fauna helped organize it.

Then the group headed back to Myrinath with Sylvie lingering in the countryside to recharge her connection to nature.

The next day, the party followed the trail of the hobgoblins - the ones that presumably murdered the jeweler and/or the group that escaped the Colosseum. They traced their path to a house recently purchased by a person who called himself “Knorg”. The clerk, Petroclus, who facilitated the purchase had been bribed. Ulfgar messages Bump up at Gronk’s Ridge and asks how things are going. Bump says things are going great!

While investigating, a runner finds the party and asks them to head to the city watch precinct where Detective Becker starts asking about the party’s involvement with Narius. Becker is interrupted before getting started by his superior, Lt. Chapman, and Chapman takes over the interviews - interviewing each person separately. The party contrive a means to keep their stories straight only to realize after they fudged their answers that Arry had already been interviewed while left at a bakery to avoid any “breaking and entering” that the hobgoblin investigation might instigate. The cops did not interview Ash or Sylvie but at the conclusion of the interviews they asked about their whereabouts.

Feeling the heat, the party headed north following the hobgoblin lead (“Knorg” is “Gronk” spelled backwards). They message Sylvie with a warning about Chapman as they leave. They find the Centaur situation seems to be fine. Homesteaders are coming up river and settling on the west side of the river and all seems well. No decision has been made about going back to Gronk’s Ridge and pursuing the hobgoblin angle.

The party also messaged Tom and found that he was in jail but wasn’t worried about it.
