Summoner Set to Strike City on Saturday
Demon Horde Unleashed by Parva’s Incompetence
Myrinath is mired in a monstrous menace marching toward the city! A sinister summoner, commanding the loyalties of the most dreadful demons of the Abyss, pledges to pulverize us Saturday unless his demands are met. This was not supposed to happen! The Abyssal & Hell Division of the Outsider Department in the Ministry of Defense assured us that such a calamity could never happen again. The division, led, then and now, by Parva Mens, was under Imperial decree to round up and destroy all spells, lists, and tools of the terrible trade. Parva has failed utterly.
Who is Parva Mens? Gladiator Arry Bigshadow says of Parva, “He seems nice.” The puny pugilist is well-known to be particularly polite with a penchant for praiseworthy principles, but we must probe deeper to precisely parse the proper meaning. “Parva seems NICE.” ‘Nice,’ the blandest of words- lacking meaning and conviction. Not helpful, competent, capable, trustworthy, or even adequate. “Parva SEEMS nice.” ‘Seems’ - i.e. an illusion, a facade. Arry is warning us that this bureaucratic bungler is mentally, physically, and ethically unfit to be a junior-grade Imperial Trash Collector, let alone to lead a critical wing of the Ministry of Defense at a time of crisis.
The people of Myrinath are left with one question: Who will protect us from the wizard’s wrath this weekend? Certainly not a mindless, meandering moron like Parva Mens!
Dispatch from Gildenheim
Frontier Outpost 17 was rocked by a gruesome murder that occurred in the demilitarized zone between Imperial settlers and the hobgoblin hordes. The victim, Trebonius Ocero, was found dismembered in a pleasant glade to the west of the outpost. His fiance, Livia, was discovered a mile upstream covered in blood.
According to sources, Livia is currently unable to communicate due to the horrors echoing in her mind. Despite magical intervention, authorities have been unable to obtain any information from her about the brutal murder.
A delegation was dispatched to Gronk, the leader of the hobgoblins. Gronk denied any involvement and claimed that several goblins had been murdered in recent days as well.
The murder has caused tensions to escalate between the Imperial settlers and the hobgoblins, raising concerns about the stability of the demilitarized zone. The authorities are now faced with the daunting task of investigating the crime and bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice, while also ensuring that the fragile peace between the two groups is not shattered.
Meanwhile, the family and friends of Ocero are mourning their loss and seeking justice for the slain victim. Frontier Outpost 17 is no stranger to violence, but the brutality of this murder has left many residents shaken. The community is now calling for stronger security measures to be put in place, and for a swift resolution to the investigation.

Benefactor Brings Relief
Fauna Torquatus has been making waves in Myrinath’s high society. Her charm, wit, and intelligence have captivated the hearts and minds of the city’s elite, causing a significant stir among the upper classes.
Fauna, who hails from a wealthy and influential family, is no stranger to the world of high society. However, her recent rise to prominence has surprised many, as she was previously known for her reserved and quiet demeanor. But now, she has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the city’s social scene.
Fauna is leading the charge to bring Imperial payments to our good citizens without the bureaucratic delay - sometimes of over seven months! This is welcome news to those affected by the first settlement debacle, and to the many more of us trying to find a way to pay the grocery bills. Ms. Torquatus is collecting funds from other wealthy Myrinathians to create a fund to pay Imperial settlements immediately. When the gold arrives from the Capital, the fund is replenished and donors earn interest.
Ms. Torquatus is staying at the Vivitrex Hotel while she organizes the effort.
