TRIUMPH!

Inside sources tell us that Imperial Consort Faberio will arrive in Myrinath in a few days! City officials are planning a triumphal parade featuring CENTAUR ANARCHIST Vercingetorix and other creatures that Imperial Forces brought to heel (with the help of the Mirror’s Heroes!) a short time ago. The Triumph marks the successful conclusion of negotiations between the Empire and the BARBARIAN HORDES in the region, allowing for the reopening of homesteading in the fertile northern valley.

Legate Narius, now Commissioner Narius, will be in charge of the settlement. Narius confirmed with the Mirror that existing permits will be honored, however, due to peace treaty details plot assignments may have changed. Check with the Farm Bureau to get your updated deed.

The Triumph will also honor local Myrinathians for their service to the Empire such as local artisan Ligna Struca. Ms Struca recently invented a highly-effective portable plow she calls a “single-handed bow ard” which will be of critical importance to the farmers. It is lightweight, versatile, easy to transport, and field-repairable - all crucial features for new settlements far from centers of industry. Well done, Ligna!

But this much- anticipated event MAY BE DELAYED if the crime wave continues to plague our good citizens. Detective Bekker of the Myrinath Police says he has a new lead but won’t say any more about it at present.

Rematch of the Century

In a no holds barred cage match dubbed “Myrinath’s Monsterous Melee”, the Mirror’s own Arry Bigshadow took on his arch NEMESIS, Ominous Otis. Otis is known for big hits on little opponents due to the frequency of the owlbear’s weight class mix-ups but Arry had no hesitation jumping into the ring with Otis once again.

The bout was quick but intense. Otis got in a few solid hits, but it wasn’t enough to stem Arry’s FURIOUS ONSLAUGHT. Arry connected on three blows for every one Otis managed to land, and while not much can stand up to one of Otis’s haymakers, Arry took them on the chin and kept up a consistent left-left-right rhythm that sent Otis to the mat in near record time. After the match, Arry extended a helping hand to her oversized adversary showing that despite his small stature, Arry is the bigger man.

Robbery Gone Awry

Noted jeweler and amateur archivist Findol Ornamen was FOUND DEAD in his market square shop yesterday evening. The City Watch spokesman said there were signs of forced entry and a struggle, and has classified the event as a thwarted burglary. Officials are compiling a list of items to determine if anything was taken. The Watch asks that if there were any witnesses to suspicious events near the shop, please contact Lapisque Angularis immediately. The Watch does not believe this robbery is connected to the flood of recent thievery in the city and they urge all citizens to STAY CALM.
