Land Sharks Beware!

Benj Cartmaker and his sons, Edam, Hoss, and Little Jeo, set forth to carve out a ranch in the fertile valley upriver near Oppidum Septendecim. Undaunted by the horrific tales coming downriver, they set out well prepared and armed with foreknowledge of likely conditions. They were joined by our intrepid group of heroes making their way North to find Judith and Julius.

Wild Sylvie recounted the tale of their encounter with an immense Bulette, also known as a Land Shark. Benj and his boys could not get close to the monster. Doughy little Arry was hard set to make a dent in the Land Shark’s thick armor- but not for lack of trying! Spells bounced harmlessly aside and no music would calm this savage beast.

The party was nearly destroyed, but luckily Sylvie was there! The bulette leaped into the air right at her. Sylvie drew her bow and aimed her last arrow at the shark, holding her ground and her shot as the slavering monster rushed forward. The bulette turned its head, prematurely seeking the next target and Sylvie saw her chance! The arrow flew true, plunging through one eye and out the other, felling the beast for once and for all!

Myrinath Prepares Welcome For Faberio

Imperial Consort Faberio Lazoni will be arriving in Myrinath within the week. All the city is abuzz with anticipation! There are several affairs of state Faberio will preside over, but the rumors of Faberio’s extravagances have excited local vendors of all kinds.

Exclusive word has reached us at the Mirror that our party of heroes has made contact with Vercingetorix. Metellus Simba, formerly the second in command at the outpost, said that Fender’s group came to him offering a pathway to peaceful negotiations. But when Legate Nerius heard about the unapproved mission, Simba was relieved of duty and has been cooling his heals in the outpost’s brig. His ultimate fate will be determined by Faberio while he is here.

In the meantime, all we can do is wait. Will there be peace in the North? Will Judith and Julius be found and reunited with little Fillipo?

Moonlight Cruise

Shortly after arriving at Oppidum Septendecim, in the dark of night, the Elf maiden Ash and Pius Dwarf Ulfgar were seen secretly exiting the fort. They quickly made their way to a nearby waterway, climbed into a small boat, and leisurely rowed out of sight - returning some hours later as discretely as they left. This reporter does not draw any conclusions, but how does ‘Ashgar’ sound??
